The Four Rivers Scottish Rite Association held its first meeting after reorganization at the New China Restaurant, US 1 South in Swainsboro on July 28, 2009. The meeting proved very successful with 23 Brethren and Ladies in attendance. Information updates on Valley activities were presented by Illustrious Brothers Clyde Griffin and Jimmy Smith. Ideas for future meetings were discussed amongst the members as well as ideas for fundraising activities to assist the Valley of Savannah’s building preservation efforts. Also discussed was the schedule conflict for the next meeting of the Association which would interfere with Grand Lodge. Decided to meet on Wednesday Oct. 28 at same location, New China Restuarant. It was noted that the Association would try other locations for future meetings as opportunities availed.

SCOTTISH RITE NITE GROUP OUTING
FRIDAY, JULY 17, 2009
What a great time we had celebrating St Patrick’s in July Night at the ball park. Over 40 attended and enjoyed the hot dogs, nachos and more plus their favorite beverages while wearing their beads and green attire and watching a tremendous fireworks display following the game. Although we did not use this occasion as a fundraising event, we certainly enjoyed fine fellowship and entertainment. Some have already menti
oned that we need to do it again and we probably will. Check out the pictures in Photo Gallery….soon to be released!.
